The stables provide guided horse rides of varying lengths through meadows, along rivers, and toward mountain summits. One trail will take you to Endo Valley and Deer Mountain for views of Moraine Park and the Continental Divide. You also can take a longer trail along Roaring River up to the timberline and to Lawn Lake, which flooded dramatically in 1982 causing much devastation. Our guide Jessie was amazing! The horses were all super cared for and amazing to ride. I had a little trouble getting on my horse and all the employees were so sweet and patient with me and helped me right on. We celebrated our daughter's 16th birthday riding and they all went above and beyond to make her feel special. We can't wait to go again! Worth every cent!
Absolutely our favorite experience in the RMNP!! Our family of 4 (myself, my husband and our sons-ages 8 and 11) were complete novices at horseback riding. From the moment that we checked in, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable with the horses. We had the pleasure of riding Joker, Flirt, Lil Jon, and Quest. The horses are highly trained and very easy to ride. Our guide was Natalie. I cannot say enough good things about her!!! She was absolutely fantastic with our kids and was very patient-instructing them how to handle the horses properly. She had very interesting stories and facts to tell along the way. She was so kind and kept us entertained the whole time. The scenery on the trail is absolutely gorgeous. The horses are treated very well. Overall, this was an experience well worth the money. My boys said it was the “best thing ever”! Thank you!!!!!!! 😊
