  • Definitely the way to go Denver to Estes Park. Absolutely magnificent scenery! My favorite stop was saint Catherine of Siena on the rocks.

  • It is a beautiful road. But watch out for the wildlife. Elk are pretty good are crossing the road but deer not so much.
  • One of the best scenic ways to drive between the front range (Denver, Boulder) to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. At Lyons you enter a lovely canyon with great views. There is a Colorado Cherry store on the east side part way up the canyon; you must stop. The drive tops a climb where it displays a stunning view of the Park, with the town nestled below.
