We have a total of 7 miles of trailway for hiking and 5.3 miles of trail are open to biking.Work out when and for how long to visit Purtis Creek State Park and other Eustace attractions using our handy Eustace road trip planning app.
The 355 acre lake is open to all vessels regardless of size but there is an idle speed only restriction in place and only 50 motorized vessels are allowed on the water. We also have two lighted fishing piers that provide excellent night fishing.
We are mostly known for great fishing; Black Bass are catch and release only; Catfish have no minimum length limit and bag limit is 5/person per day; all other fish are under normal state regulations and fishing is by pole and line only.
We have 58 water & electric sites with 30 amp service, 5 water only sites, 13 primitive (hike in/boat in) sites, and a group pavilion that can be reserved.
Common sites to see in the park include several working American Beaver lodges, Bald Eagles, stargazing, wildflowers, and various migrating and native birds year round.

This was a very nice park. The hiking trails were not flat and a little challenging for my mom but I loved it. She did too, the little she got to do. The spaces, like most state parks, have a... more »

I have been coming here for many months and the staff here is all amazing people. It is a smaller park but I think that makes it unique in its own way. The primitive sites are amazing and the nice hike to them is perfect. All the established campsites are well maintained and kept very clean and in good working order. This is a great place for anyone to visit for a day, a night, or the weekend!

I volunteered with Purtis Creek earlier this year in the office. Thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff and fellow volunteers. I loved the interaction with the public. It is a beautiful park. Great place to go hiking, fishing and camping. Nice safe place for cycling as well. Hope to serve with them again.
