    The visitor center is quite small but affords good information about the area and some exhibits. There are also restrooms nearby.

    Spent Christmas Day with s picnic at the waterside. Rangers were on duty under a tent demonstrating different animal skulls and facilitating tours. Easy to find and a gem of a public property in the Everglades.

    1.5 hours drive from Fort Lauderdale. On the way sighted wild alligators. Boat tour to ten thousand islands. Spotted a couple of Dolphins and Pelicans. If you have a National Park Ticket /Annual Pass, take it with you.
