You can visit this part of everglades national park for free -- the pay station is another mile down the road. If you want to step over alligators and take a nature walk, this is the place!

Love visiting Ernest F. Coe visitor center. Staff is always friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The ranger always takes the time to talk with my very curious and talkative nephew. The Gift shop has something for everyone. The lady that works the gift shop always has a welcoming smile and is very nice and helpful. Very educational, guided tours with rangers are also available at specific times.

Very glad to finally take my son inside now that there’s no mask rule! Really well done museum area that’s fun for all ages. Love the Artist in Residence section. Friendly staff. Bookstore lacks in comparison to other NPS sites. Clean restrooms. Nice place to get water bottles refilled. Don’t forget to stamp your passport book!
