I learned in a half hour what would have taken me days of research (if I had been able to figure it out at all). The historian I spoke with was extraordinarily knowledgeable, generous with her time, and able to provide context for the questions I've been struggling with. I'll be back sometime to do family research but for now, I have a better understanding of what was happening in the area in the 1600s which is extremely valuable as I try to understand what life was like in the area.
The staff here were wonderful. Very helpful Went and got books out of their library for us, and spoke with us in depth about the history of Exeter. It was a wonderful experience and I'm glad I went. My wife even appreciated even if I was doing my own family genealogy
