  • So awesome! Once in a life time. The owner was so gracious! 5 hours, great Lodge. Starting in the North traveling South, the Lodge was perfectly situated.

  • Saw the Aurora last night while at the Aurora Husky Lodge. Michi & Keiko were excellent hosts. The space was warm and inviting with a wood stove and blankets and an indoor toilet. Great viewing...

  • Amazing location. Thoughtful guide and hosts. Cozy lodge, friendly atmosphere. Michi was instantly gracious, helpful, and hospitable from the time he picked us up at our airbnb, to the drive up to his lodge, to the time we spent there, and to the time he brought us back to our airbnb. He and his partner Keiko are superb hosts! We were also very lucky the night we were there. Lady Aurora showed herself almost immediately after we arrived and got settled in the lodge. We had an AMAZING TIME!!! On our drive to and fro the lodge, Michi was on the lookout for wildlife that we could encounter, and luckily, a mother moose and her offspring was roaming around downtown at 3AM and we were able to watch them peacefully wander around the hotel parking lot of one of the guests that night. Great Tour!!!!
  • We visited the lodge in early February. The drive up was comfortable, he was constantly checking if all passengers were warm enough and telling us about the lights and the probability of seeing them for that night. Michi and his wife Keiko were very welcoming and once everyone was settled there was coffee, tea, snacks, and enough chairs to lounge around while you waited for the lights. Michi participated in the Iditarod Trail sled dog race and tells you of his experience, which was very interesting to hear. Around midnight the lights started to appear, which you may not be able to see with your naked eye at first. Michi was great and super optimistic that the lights would appear more and they did late into the night. Even though our tour ended at 2am, Michi allowed us to view the lights until after 2am since they had appeared later, which was very nice. We enjoyed this lodge experience so much that we booked again the second to last night before we left Fairbanks, AK. The chances were slim again but around 1am Lady Aurora made her appearance and again Michi allowed us to stay past the tour end time to experience the beautiful show. Michi’s optimism was so motivating, and he assured us not to lose hope in seeing the lights one more time before we left Alaska. Throughout our entire trip, we would recommend anyone and everyone on other tours to use Aurora Husky Lodge to catch Lady Aurora. Thank you Michi and Keiko for a wonderful experience.
