Create an itinerary including Pioneer Park
Pioneer Park displays Alaskan history and heritage in a cozy outdoor environment. In addition to offering a playground and picnic area, the park also features a Wi-Fi connection and a selection of small shops, museums, galleries, and restaurants. Many are tucked inside historical wooden houses and cabins that were transported here from other locations across the state. One of the park's main attractions is the five-decked paddle steamboat, SS Nenana. The vessel once transported passengers and cargo but is now a museum. Admission to the park is free, but some attractions and activities have fees. For Pioneer Park and beyond, use our Fairbanks online visit planner to get the most from your Fairbanks vacation.

  • I was only able to walk through, since I visited the last week in September and it was already closed for the Winter season. Seems to be a fun place to visit during the Summer!

  • Pioneer Park was a fun place to visit. It’s a great place to hang out with family and friends. We enjoyed our visit here and we will definitely come here next time we are in Fairbanks! We walked around and looked around Pioneer Park. There’s lots to see and experience. There were swings for the family as you can see from the pictures.
  • We enjoyed it and would go again. Lots of interesting historic buildings and museums, and its free. The Salmon Bake restaurant looked really good. We were just not hungry enough. You can also camp your RV there for $12. Also free potable water
