  • We take the kids out to play on the edge of the lake and often run around the lake path. They also have campgrounds there if you're up to it. Nice facilities.  more »
  • This park is absolutely wonderful. There is a 4.5 mile loop trail that helps you disconnect with the city life and reconnect with nature. The lake itself is gorgeous and you can do a variety of water....  more »
  • Best park period. This place is massive and there's a ton to do. I usually come for the disc golf course, the best in the area. Very little brush, no poison ivy, clear and clean and flattish pathways. There's a lot to do here, and by the disc golf course is a small train that drives around the park certain times of year. Great place to take children for sure. The disc golf course and surrounding pathways are definitely good enough for strollers, and excellent trail running paths. I live down in Stafford but come up to Burke Lake Park just because it's such a great spot. If you are not a VA or local resident then you probably will need to pay a small fee to enter. I show my Stafford address license and I get through fine though.
  • The lake is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoys fishing on the pier at the Marina. Bait is available for sale and boats for rental. Many families visit and have been friendly. People with dogs will let you know if their dog is gentle or does not like to be petted by children The drink machines and water fountains are easily accessible. The bathrooms do not have baby changing tables.
