Ghost Town · Tourist Spot
South Park City is an outside historic museum with 42 original furnished buildings and structures depicting an 1880s-era mining town. The buildings include a church, school, dentist/barber, doctor, coffin-maker, blacksmith, saloon, drug store, general store, homes, train engine and caboose, and other structures that portray life in an early gold mining town in the Colorado Rockies. Visitors can try walk into each building, and try out the furniture, play the pianos, ring the school bell, and stroll along the boardwalk, and, in the process, get a real feel for life in the Old West.

  • This is such a fun place to check out. The lady at the front is so sweet & friendly. This place has so much fun, amazing history & you can touch stuff & get up close. That made it even better. It is a beautiful drive to this cute town & well worth going to check out.
  • Okay well first of all, I was born and raised in Colorado golden to be in fact graduated from Wheat Ridge 1998 but I've lived here all of my life and I've never been to South Park Colorado and I have to say from a historical point of view it is I wonder if place for a person that who really loves history... I have been in the Buffalo Bill Days parade and before Heritage Square shutdown I was a part of the Wild West reenactors and have been for almost 15 years and I have to say this is just like way cool dude... this is to anybody yet who comes outside of Colorado or just even in the mountain areas this is definitely a place to go for a person who's into history or not it's just cool to see at how much Society is actually progressed from not even a hundred years ago to present day
