As a horror and paranormal enthusiast, my stay was perfect. As someone that also enjoys staying at historic B&B's the place was OK. I guess it depends on why you're going. As a paranormal enthusiast, this place is a dream stay. At night, the entire first floor (where most of the rooms are NOT located) is open to guests to quietly explore or investigate at night. Believe me, the house is so big that someone could be murdered and you wouldn't hear it upstairs. I get the stories now. It's incredibly creepy. As for the B&B part; there is a very hostel like feel to this place. During my stay, the other guests were quiet and respectful of privacy. Be aware though, the doors do not lock from the outside. However, cameras are in the main areas outside of the rooms. Still, if you have valuables or cash, lock it in your car. I stayed in the Bridgette Sullivan room. It was a simple room with clean bed clothes and a comfortable bed. I slept well with the exception of my hourly awakenings from terror (which had nothing to do with the furnishings!) The biggest downside was that the steam from the shower in the bathroom sets the fire alarm off. When showering, the window must be opened. In the dead of winter, during a snow storm, that was rough! Customer service was stellar. One young woman even helped me clean the snow and ice off my car; she didn't even have to offer, but she did. The man running the gift shop was also very friendly. My emails were responded to promptly and I thought communication was good.

We had the best time here! The tour was great! Loved hearing all the theories. Our guide was so good! She answered all the questions and really knew her history of this place. Highly recommend visiting here if you like creepy things or even just history. My whole family enjoyed it.
