Peaceful Heart Alpacas is run by three generations of the Willis family. We were seeking a peaceful lifestyle where we could spend time working together outside, and we found it with our alpacas among the Blue Ridge Mountains. To plan Fancy Gap vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.
We love every aspect of raising alpacas, from our time with them each day to spinning and creating with their fiber. Our family is dedicated to raising alpacas with gentle temperaments and excellent fiber in a peaceful environment for alpacas and people.
Our alpacas are truly exceptional, chosen carefully for their fine fiber and bred to improve on that fineness while paying close attention to conformation and density. Our Reserve Color Champion Lord Tennyson is a great example of the success of our breeding program. Bloodlines represented in our herd include Hemingway, Bueno, Caligula, The Silversmith, Peruvian Platinum, Don Juan, Peruvian Matador and Royal Fawn. In addition to high quality breeding stock, we also sell sweet natured geldings as pets and fiber animals.
Be sure to visit our farm store. If you are looking for alpaca yarn or alpaca fiber to spin, we have a wide selection. We offer fiber art classes, such as weaving, spinnning, felting, knitting and crochet, throughout the year. Our store is full of beautiful handmade alpaca clothing and household items made locally or Fair Trade items imported from Peru. You can also view and purchase the items through our online Farm Store.
Come by for a visit and a trip along “America’s Favorite Drive”. Meet our alpacas and learn more about them, then take time to experience the beauty and history of the Blue Ridge Mountain communities.

The Peaceful Heart Alpacas were lots of fun! You can pet them and watch them frolic about in their different areas. There was also a few friendly chickens and cats roaming about! The store has imported items that include socks, sweaters, hats, gloves, etc as well as items made on site! Great pit stop along the way!
Very friendly, wished we came sooner, closing end of year. Defiantly will order online if i can. Excellent and very informative, not what I was expecting it was really cool
