Adventureland is an amusement park in East Farmingdale, New York, located on Route 110 (Broadhollow Road). Adventureland has been Long Island's main amusement park since 1962. There are a total of thirty rides, two of which are roller coasters and three are water rides. Adventureland is opened seasonally: weekends in March, April, May, September and October and all days in the summer. Alvin Cohen and Herb Budin bought seven acres of property in 1962 and opened a restaurant, an arcade and mini golf. Along with the building, there were four rides brought to Long Island for entertainment. The original four rides were the Carousel, the Iron Horse train, Little Dipper Coaster, and boats. Willy Miller bought Adventureland from Alvin Cohen on September 15, 1977. Throughout the years, Willy Miller brought in new rides and expanded Adventureland's activities. In 1987, the park was sold to Tony Gentile and Peter Amoruso. In 1991, they began to add water rides to Adventureland. Adventureland celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012. The park is a popular attraction for children, schools and day camps on Long Island.

  • Great place to visit and bring kids to experience. The prices are reasonable my advice is to get the one day wrist band. FYI. The staff are very helpful. The restrooms are clean and well kept. There are lots of parking available. Bring beach wear there are water rides and regular rides, also sneakers are a must lots of walking. Arrive early lines for favorite rides may get long. The staff are very professional and helpful. Don't plan any other activities for said day 😘💖 it's an all day event and please get lots of rest the night before. I can't speak for everyone but my experience was truly an amazing and incredible adventure. I will definitely be returning sometime in the future.
  • Pretty cool and cozy park! 1st timer and we had a great time. It’s very family friendly, especially for younger children but there is something for everyone. Don’t expect Six flags ride but you will still have fun and the environment is nice. We went on a Wednesday so it wasn’t overly crowded. The employees were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. The cafeteria was clean but food selection was limited, mainly fried and a bit pricey for the quality, but I guess expected at places like this. Overall great experience and closer to home than traveling to NJ . The kids loved the bumper car rides and got to ride over and over. Will definitely return
