Holocaust Memorial Center, Farmington Hills

Was a truly history filled and emotional place. No words can truly describe the truths that are told there. Went on a class trip and had the great opportunity to meet Mr. Henry Friedman, he told of his survival of one of the most horrific events to befall human kind. He was a truly kind man. He even joked about me and my girlfriend! It is truly amazing how people can be so great and optimistic. Reminds me of the worst and the best things of humans.

Been here twice on class trips, the emotion and story behind everything is well told and the museum staff we had the first trip was incredibly kind and helpful. The second time however the staff who escorted us had a clear disdain towards my peers and I, simply because we were not Jewish (you could simply feel that was what she was upset about, her presence was THAT unnerving). With that out of the way, I got to meet one of the most tenacious people of my life, George "Jojo" Zeff, he had great stories, like the kind you would hear for a skiff for a movie (which really should be made) and he was simply wonderful to talk to.
