Trip Planner:   USA  /  Colorado  /  Federal Heights  /  Water World

Water World, Federal Heights

Experience wacky slides, massive wave pools, and family-friendly games at Water World. The park spans 27 hectares (67 acres), making it one of the United States' largest water theme parks and providing plenty of room for its 49 attractions. Easy-going types can float down the lazy river while thrill-seekers should opt for some of the roller-coaster style slides. Many will be familiar with "Voyage to the Center of the Earth," the park's most famous slide, which features an animatronic T. rex and lasts more than five minutes. Take advantage of one of the dining options, including pizza, burritos, and classic all-American fare, or pack a cooler to save a few dollars. It's a good idea to bring sandals, as the textured floor can be rough on bare feet. • Place seemed a bit old and could definitely use a face lift. Paint was very worn down and slides looked very dull. The family slides were great but the hills that you have to walk up with a raft is ve...  more »
  • This is ultimately the biggest and funnest water park I have ever been too. This 70 acres water park has 50 very fast rides for all age kids and adults. The Thunder Bay big tidal wave pool is for a surfers dream in Denver. Family of 6 rafting white waters in a park was Epic! Go slow in Lazy River and Wally World for the little kids (5 and under)looked absolutely amazing. They did have lockers to lock stuff in. Alot of chairs to sit anywhere. Some shady, grassy places and fun cabanas to rent for birthdays or family gatherings. Living here in Colorado, the weather changes dramatically some days so make sure it will be 62° or hotter all day. Picnics, coolers, grills, umbrellas/shade structures and factory sealed beverages and containers are OK. NO alcoholic beverages or glass containers ALLOWED! No pets!! Park is seasonally summer opened from Memorial Day to the last week of August. Highly recommended and I would go to the extent of saying if your in Denver during the summer this is a must DO!
  • Christmas light display = The music station and light show was nice. I enjoyed that a few of the light displays appeared to sing with the songs, that was a very nice touch. However there wasn't much of a variety, trees, snowflakes, tunnels, repeat. For the price there should more variety. Normal summer hours in the park however I give 5 stars to. Love this water park.
