The Peninsula Players, America's oldest resident summer theater, has a history which is as captivating as the plays staged at the theatre during the past 85 years. And it began simply with "two planks and a passion." Patrons have returned year after year, drawn by the theatre's tradition of providing exceptional professional productions of classic and contemporary literature. They are also delighted by the talent of its acting company and the theatre's serene location along the shores of Green Bay.Put Peninsula Players Theatre into our Fish Creek online holiday maker to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Fish Creek.

My mom and uncle introduced us to the players over 35 years ago. We've been season ticket holders, along with our 2 sons, for several years. Our younger son was an intern 19 years ago. We've enjoyed getting to know the regulars over the years. Always top notch entertainment, and a gorgeous place to visit! The sunset balcony has a plaque dedicated to my mom and uncle, and we always get a few pictures over the summer. We even convinced friends of ours to become season ticket holders as well!
I've been to Peninsula Players many times, and have seen a wide variety of shows. Many have been fabulous, including "Always, Patsy Cline" and "The Full Monty." I love going early and watching the sun set on the lake, having a glass of wine in the garden, and chatting with others in the theater. It's so. . . Door County! Truly one of my favorite theaters. Insider tips: Wear sensible shoes because the parking lot is gravel. Dress for the weather, and be prepared for the theater to cool off when the sun goes down. No one will think it's odd if you bring in your car blanket on a chilly fall evening. If you want you can bring a picnic and enjoy it beforehand, but remember that you absolutely may not carry in alcoholic beverages.
