  • because the trails are in the woods, the snow was acceptable for shoeing despite the lack of snow in open areas.

  • Gorgeous park in Door County. Recommend biking through it (used Edge of the Park Rentals). Pretty easy 1-2 hour bike ride along coast and to a few viewpoints. Pretty in the fall with the leaves...

  • Beautiful park to visit any time of year. We love stopping here in the fall and winter. Some roads and facilities are closed in the winter, but that is to be expected. When it is accessible during the regular season, the lighthouse in this park is lovely and worth the visit as well. The roads are definitely in rough shape, though, and there are a number of potholes to avoid!
  • Beautiful state park. Even if you can't or don't want to hike, absolutely worth taking a leisurely drive through. Lots of spots to stop and explore, and great camping. The new observation tower can get pretty busy, so go there early.
