While staying at a motel in Fishkill drove over to see the First Reformed Church of Fishkill. It has a cemetery on both sides of the church. There are two historical markers outside the church. I was.... more

I haven't been to Church in a very long while. I have trauma disorders that make it extremely difficult to socialize. But I met a wonderful loving couple that not only attend but work for the church. I also have a fragmented memory disorder so I don't remember thier names or what exactly they do. For the first time in 5 years, I didn't hesitate to take them up on an invitation to attend. What an amazing sermon, pastor and family of people. I left with a great message, hope and a much needed lifted spirit. Thank you First Reformed Church. PS....the optional coffee and snack gathering following, as warm as everyone was helped overcome adversity in extreme social anxiety even for a while. 💘
