So much to do there for kids. We went there twice while there. And still had a much fun as before. I even took the idea to present to our city for something just like this.

We went to see the “Enchanted: A History of Fantasy Illustration” exhibit, which was great and fun for the whole family. We didn’t know that they had an ongoing glass blowing presentation by the UM-Flint students, so we were all delighted to sit through their expressive performance. Had a wonderful afternoon. Will come back again.

This was my first time visiting the museum, though my husband had visited in the past. We were both very impressed by their expansion; both the design and acquisition of new exhibits. The galleries were impressive and well cared for. We attended today primarily to see the traveling Art in Fantasy exhibit, and it did not disappoint. A particularly moving exhibit on display, which we hadn’t anticipated seeing, chronicled the Flint Water Crisis. I was truly moved. Additional surprise perks of the visit were the lovely gift shop, which contained pieces by local artisans and student works. It also featured a wonderful eatery with surprisingly delightful food options. If you live near or plan to visit the Flint area, be sure to set apart some time to see this wonderful museum.
