One of the best trails in all of Virginia! Sharing The Wild - Luxury Travel Designs has been coming here and recommending this trail to travelers for years! The parking lot is rather small so be sure to get here early in the day or be prepared to wait for others to leave. Two trails, under a mile in length (rated moderate and challenging) will lead to the top where gorgeous panoramic views will take your breathe away and leave you filling inspired. Checkout the awesome photos we were able to get at the top!

Two well-maintained trails lead to stunning views. Fairly short (each under a mile), 2 trails lead to the top. One is a little shorter and steeper, considered challenging; the other I would consider moderate. The parking lot is pretty small; go on a weekday if possible. A Ranger will turn cars away if the parking lot fills. This happened to me on a Sunday and I was lucky enough to return the next day without a problem. (I think the Ranger should’ve put a “parking lot full” sign further down the narrow twisty road before you get almost all the way to the lot only to wind your way back down.) Overall a great hike that can be enjoyed by most visitors.
