  • Did the tour on Nov 6. Had lots of fun. Lots of animals and fun feeding them. My 2 year old grandson loved it and is a great spot for kids of all ages. You are right up on the animals, so close...  more »
  • Just 10 miles outside of Tickfaw, LA, this is one hidden gem. Covering 900 acres, this is a wildlife preserve for endangered animals, supported as a 501-3C. There is plenty of time to visit all the....  more »
  • Fantastic place for a family outing or to just spend a day away from the ho hum. Great tour guides and a nice tractor pulled wagon ride around the property. You may also purchase animal feed to hand feed a huge variety of animals both from distant countries and domestic. The farm is a non profit and cares for and about the animals they keep. Kids love Global Wildlife.
  • This is the stuff of dreams. I have been to something similar in the past, but nothing this interactive. You get your ticket, and wait in line. You can also purchase various packages of stuff to feed the animals. I came with my supervisor from work who wanted to go with her step mothers group from a nursing home. It was so cute to see these elderly people so excited over the animals, though some of them were quite scared of the animals. You ride around in these HUGE trains whose cars look like covered wagons and are pulled by a tractor. Very country, very fun. Nice to see buffalo, giraffes and other animals close up. They did tell a story of how they once had a monkey, but had issues with it misbehaving badly, and they had to find a new place where it could not leave visitors gifts on their cars. Too funny!
