  • Beautiful clear water. When they tell you the water is 55 degrees, they are not exaggerating, but if you love water the temp doesn't matter. :) There's a ranger station near the boat ramp and a small dock where you can collect the rest of your party after putting the boat in the water. There's plenty of room to wipe down and make sure your boat is free of any extra water at the end of your visit. They are VERY serious about life jackets. If you plan to go out on the water, whether by boat, kayak or paddle board, make sure you have your life jacket cause you won't get very far before the rangers remind you. Pets are welcome, but must be and stay on a leash. There's picnic tables and grills. There's also plenty of trashcans. Please use them! There's a small beach where the kayak trips take off from. There's a gift shop, restaurant and bathroom. I have yet to visit them, but by how clean things are I don't doubt their quality. If you plan to play closer to the shore I would suggest some sort of water shoe. The stones are large and easy to see, but man do they hurt when you stub your toes. Most of all, just enjoy this beach with your family.
  • A clean and quiet place to get away from the city. Trails, boating, a small beach. There is a store and restaurant on site, you can rent watercraft, and there is even a campground. It is a bit of a bumpy road from the highway with some tight turns down to the Marina so be mindful of that if you are planning to visit in your RV.
