We toured the commercial shrimp fishing docks in Fort Myers. Learned about the Florida Pink Shrimp -- how they were discovered, and are sustainably harvested and processed. Very interesting tour...

Very cute, well put together museum. It was rather warm inside but it’s small so it was easy to keep the time we spent in doors.. Lots of facts. Something for all ages. Person at the desk was friendly. This is more of a one and done vs a membership museum. I would recommend for families of all ages.

Fantastic little museum/Marine science center with the most patient and kind guides running it. Currently, you have to call to make an appointment because they are understaffed until the end of August. But we did and it was totally worth it! My kids stayed and enjoyed for over an hour because everything is geared toward children being able to pick up and touch and interact with the vast majority of their exhibits. There is a touch tank and a scavenger hunt that the kids can do and they even let us watch them feed the moray eel! Highly recommend for kids even as young as 3.5.
