Wa-Ke Hatchee Recreation Center, Fort Myers

This facility is an innovative, cooperative venture between Lee County Parks and

Recreation and the Lee County School Board. Most of the facility is an independent

recreation center that is open to the public throughout the day. The gymnasium is

dividable and shared with Lexington Middle School during the school day and during

school special events. During the evenings and weekends, the recreation center

gets full use of the gym. Other amenities include a weight room & fitness center,

aerobics and dance rooms, computer lab/classroom, meeting rooms and game room.

A variety of free and fee-based programs are provided by contracted instructors.
