Built at the birthplace of the U.S. Navy Frogmen, Navy Seal Museum houses exhibits that illustrate the role and history of underwater demolition teams and Sea, Air, Land teams (U.S. Navy SEALs)--one of the most elite fighting forces in the world. From 1943 to 1946, soldiers were trained at the site. Visit the museum to see artifacts and exhibits, such as the original obstacles from the Normandy landing preparatory trainings, boats used in Korea and Vietnam, vehicles from the Middle East, and a wall honoring Medal of Honor recipients. Navy Seal Museum reviews
No replicas, they have lots of weapons, vehicles, and uniforms that were used by the U.S. Navy Seals. There is an obstacle course for the daring, helicopters and boats you can climb into, weapons you.... more »
This was planned as a side trip on the way home from Orlando. At first, I wavered a bit because it was such an out of the way drive. It is far off the highway... but we ended up there on Memorial Day.... more »
What a fantastic and very interesting place to visit. To learn about the history of this highly skilled group of special operators was a privilege. As a visitor from Scotland 🏴 with an interest in our own Special Forces, it was a very informative experience. We also got to see a live demonstration of a Navy K9 outside, which was excellent and had a good look around at the various vehicles and boats on display outside within the museum grounds. I'd highly recommend paying a visit to the museum and our interactions with with the staff and veterans on duty was top class.
Went here with the family and it was so cool there were a lot of cool stuff to look at. Old clothing and guns and cool pictures with stories about items or people. While we were there some veterans were getting filmed for a documentary about their times in the service, and they let us listen in behind the scenes and it was so awesome. There’s a lot of cool little things that teach you about the history of stuff there that I think is cool. Even bought 2 shirts and a bullet hat pin. Would highly recommend for everyone.
