  • This fort was not only a military installation, but also a TB hospital, correctional facility, WW2 German internment camp and a must see when in the Lincoln, NM area. Run by the state of NM, the staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the Fort in all facets of it life. Artifacts and building are truly interesting and are supplemented with slides and movies of the post's development and use over the years.
  • Best old fort in the USA it needs lots of help to restore it. But poor New Mexico can't pay for it. It too will fall apart like all the rest. People never care about their history. Then walk around lost. Not knowing how they got so messed up.
