From the early days of biplanes to the jet era, Air Force Armament Museum houses a huge collection of historical aircraft and weaponry. The museum’s main attractions include the legendary P-51 Mustang, arguably the ultimate piston-powered fighter, and the SR-71 Blackbird, which soared at record-breaking speeds and altitudes. Aircraft are displayed both inside and outside the building. Explore the museum's collection of bombs and missiles, featuring World War I hand grenades, laser-guided bunker busters, and more. Track the history of machine guns used in air combat and anti-aircraft defense. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are welcome. CLOSED ON FEDERAL HOLIDAYS. We loved this place. Our son's retirement ceremony, after 27+ years was touching and beautiful. This museum has something for everyone to see. The layout of the history is amazing. Everyone was warm, friendly, and informative. The aircraft was displayed well.
Wonderful! The museum is very well upkept and the staff is very friendly! Alexander gave us a short tour of the place of his own volition! They have many unique planes that are hard to find and some that are only found here because of model specifications being so rare. They also have a great picnic area.
