Famous for big fish, Okaloosa Island Pier draws fisherman and spectators alike to marvel at the fish that the Gulf of Mexico produces in this region. Large tuna, king mackerel, and cobia have been reeled in here. The pier extends more than 384 m (1,262 ft) into the ocean and serves as a great place to watch the sunset, observe those fishing, or catch glimpses of dolphins, stingrays, and sea turtles. You'll find a tackle shop on the pier, and if you forget your gear, you can rent equipment.  A beach grill is located at the end pier, and the Gulfarium next door hosts live marine mammal performances. There is a fee required to walk out onto the pier; it costs more if you would like to fish.
