  • I had no Idea this place was here until we passed it leaving the zoo. A really nice little hidden gem in Ft Worth! The kids kept saying it was cool how things looked in the old days lol  more »

  • This was an awesome museum! It was very interesting getting to learn about the long ago occupants. The employees that were there that day were all very friendly and very knowledgeable.
  • Absolutely loved this place. Such amazing history and beautiful scenery. It makes you feel as if you are walking through time.
  • Very interesting, well preserved and educational. We brought our 3 year old grandson along, who had a blast! Nice area to walk through, the trail is paved so easy walking for all ages and abilities. There's a candlemaker, blacksmith and an area for kids to pump water, collect pretend eggs and dig for pretend root veggies in a small sawdust garden. It looks like there's also a carpenter, but no one was hosting the area when we were there. If you want to know what life was like in the mid to late 1800s, you will enjoy this. It's amazing to think of families of 10 living in a home approximately the size of a 2 car garage. You should go and see for yourself.
  • The lavender lady in the first cabin tried to lure me into a trap that I can only surmise would have ended in my death. She was no elektra, but she was pretty smoking. The pancakes were okay though.
  • Love this place! The staff is very courteous and kind. My kids were able to touch and learn a lot. It's handicap accessible.
