Good place to watch trains. Went there in April 2018 and saw an average amount of trains. Bad part is though, you can't do an overnighter just yet! more »
If you like to see trains go by, this is a perfect spot for it. City has turned it into a nice little park with restrooms/water fountain, bench seats, paved parking lot and not much that blocks the view from inside the iron triangle. The low fence surrounding the area is just a gentle reminder to stay off the tracks. Open 24 hours. Bring a camera.
If you like train watching, I don't know what could be better. Places to sit and set up camp chairs, listen to train dispatch, and watch the traffic from 3 lines.
