  • Great introductory "hike" for families who have young kiddos. Our three kids made it through the 2.2 mile loop. It's definitely helpful to have snacks on hand, as you'll likely need to stop a few times throughout. It's also helpful to have a baby carrier for ages 2 and under, as there are many steps to climb. It's all worth it for the lovely views of the gorge and the "pool" area. We also got a picture of us with the covered bridge, which is now a family tradition that started when our first child was an infant.
  • Wow this is a beautiful trail! You can walk the whole trail or choose to take a shorter path (there’s also a bus available for the initial part of the trail). Flume gorge was great. Other things to see are the Liberty gorge, bear and wolf caves and the pool. It’s a good idea to get the discovery pass if you plan to go on the Cannon Mountain tramway.
