DeBence Antique Music World is a museum in Franklin, Pennsylvania whose collection contains more than 100 antique mechanical musical instruments, including music boxes, band organs, player pianos, a nickelodeon piano, as well as a number of other antiques. Many of the collection's mechanical instruments are rare; a number are among only a few manufactured, and a few are among the last in existence. Although the collection’s value cannot be measured, an offer for a sum of multiple millions of dollars was once rejected.

  • We stopped by chance and were "blown away" by the experience. The tour was excellent and the collection is second to none. Highly recommend a visit.  more »

  • Priceless collection of vintage instruments, player pianos, calipoies and much, much more covering two large floors. No admission cost although a very interesting and informative guided tour is offered for a small fee. This is a must see for anyone with a music background or inclination. A NW Pa treasure located in Franklin, Pa., also known as the "Victorian City".
  • Great outing for the whole family! Of you are on the cheap you can go to the lower level and make old style pianos play for a quarter. They also have historic old shortwave radios and a history of wire and tape recorders. I never knew the first microphones were made of wire suspended in the air...they have one on display. Amazing that this gem is in downtown Franklin. I would like to give it ten stars. Don't miss this if you are ever in Franklin! VERY informative.
