  • Great for a short (2 hours or so) trip to learn about the Battle of Fredericksburg. The museum is small but packed with information and relics while the battlefield really gives you a sense of what happened, despite being in the middle of the city. The battlefield itself has good walking trails and stops among the main area. If you're up for it, drive down to Prospect Hill to get a sense of how big the battle was and see some earthworks/trenches.
  • The volunteers here are wonderful. They accommodated our group of students with autism very well. The tour guide even adapted things so we weren't out in the 111 degree heat too long. Thank you for the awesome experience. My students talked about it all week
