  • Numerous exhibits were very detailed and quite informative. Items on display were genuine artifacts that our ancestors used while settling into America in the 1800s.

  • Excellent. We spent approximately 3 hours at the museum and will come back. We enjoyed the activities set up for spring break so much- rope making, doll making, and butter churning. My girls- ages 5, 10, 11 loved playing with toys and games from the 1800s. A very kind gentleman in the center barn played an instrument for the girls and taught them how to play with many of the toys. It was a delightful learning experience.
  • Fantastic museum with a self-guided tour. I loved learning about the history of German settlers in Texas. Each building has a motion sensor that triggers a recorded story describing the building or room. Most of them were recorded by descendants of the settlers. Entrance fee is very reasonable.
