This was a charming museum with multiple original buildings to explore. I took my nine year old daughter and she truly enjoyed being able to walk through history and get as close as she could to experiencing what life was. I would highly recommend. Their is a fun detail for children to stay engaged, make sure to ask about Frederick.

We were greeted by two kind and knowledgeable ladies working the front desk. She shared her stories from the rich heritage of Fredericksburg and elaborated on the museum we were about to experience..an experience it was. Well preserved, the establishments we're filled with automated audio narrators which really threw your imagination back in that time. 100% would recommend.
