  • We enjoyed several walks on the beach here and really appreciated the off-leash area for our dog. All three of us had a great time!

  • Probably my favorite off-leash area, but you have to come prepared. There is significantly more beach at low tide - 100s of yards to the water vs. 10-20 between the driftwood and the water. Getting to the off-leash area is a bit of a hike. There is a trail specifically for avoiding people picnicking with your dogs, but eventually it runs into driftwood you have to climb over. No freshwater available so you have to bring your own. Very limited parking lot parking. Lots of roadside parking but you might have to walk a bit to get down to the beachhead.
  • Lovely spot! Perfect for a day at the beach, it’s long, deep, and sandy. We found lots of silver dollars and enjoyed using the drift wood to build huts. Because the beach is so deep the water stays pretty warm close to shore this time of year. It was also shallow for the kids to play in. Not really deep enough to swim. The sandy bottom is clean and smooth. There are rocky areas as well. Loved seeing all of the off leash dogs romp around. The only restrooms are porta potty’s, gets smelly after a long, hot day. Close by is nice little downtown with a great taco and salad spot, also serving margaritas to-go. Definitely spot there on your way.
