National Videogame Museum, Frisco

4.7
This isn't your traditional museum. To parallel the industry we represent, exhibits feature loads of interactivity. There will be plenty of game systems to play from Pong to present, including a full reproduction of an 80's arcade.

The museum is the evolution of the world-famous Classic Gaming Expo museum exhibit which is comprised of over 20,000 items spanning numerous collections and over 25 years of historical document and data archiving. The ultimate vision of The National Videogame Museum is to have a physical research and reference facility that will also serve as an interactive educational exhibit to the industry and general public alike.

  • Pretty cool place overall. They definitely need to do some upkeep on the games tho. I realize with all the kids playing with the controllers it may be hard to keep them in perfect order but 30% of them didn't work at all. There is also a train museum as well as a science/ technology museum in the same building. Unfortunately didn't have time to visit them. $12 is a little pricey for what they offer as you can run though all the exhibits in 15 minutes but if you are a true gamer and chill out and play a few games it's worth it for sure.
  • Blast from the past! This place was awesome. My while family loved playing all the games and experiencing gaming through the decades. The arcade at the end was a nice final touch. It was clean too. We will definitely be back.
