  • Beautiful and clean park. Nice moderate hike. A lot of places to sit and chill. Polite staff. We look forward to visiting again and seeing more of the hiking trails and the lake. We did a very easy hike from the visitors center, down to the lake, and back up a road to the visitors center. I think it was a red trail. Took some time in the shade on a picnic table to enjoy a book.
  • We love it at Don Carter. Very impressed with how clean the facilities are! Bathrooms are clean and updated. Love having the outdoor showers to clean off sand after being in the lake. The beach always looks like it’s been combed over every day for trash and it is a nice sandy beach, not just your typical red clay. We enjoy the paved hiking paths and we love seeing the deer that come to the park.
