  • The Cade Museum is not the ordinary collection of old stuff, it is a collection of what might be and who might create it. It is a must see and do for children.  more »

  • Great place for kids and adults. My husband and I stopped by while driving through Gainesville. We enjoyed all the hands on exhibits. Very knowledgeable staff and volunteers. They have exhibits that rotate about every 6-8 weeks. We would recommend to everyone. They gave us a map with a scavenger hunt and we enjoyed doing it as well.
  • In my search for something to do with the kids while I’m staying here in Gainesville I found Cade Museum. We arrived around 2 o’clock and the museum closes at 5. We stayed there the three hours, the kids had a great time. The building is very nice, many engaging activities. I loved the scavenger hunt on the museum brochure and was excited to get it all done. The best part is the second floor with the big room (I forgot the name) with the great view. The kids spend their at least one hour, coloring and exploring. The lady that was there her name is Roxana she was very friendly and sweet, my kids are very talkative and she listened to them patiently and engaged with them and we didn’t even feel the time passing. My son left his stuffed animal in one of the rooms and Roxana immediately talked to the other employees and tried to locate it and went to get it for my son, she went above and beyond to engage the kids in the activities and also come to the rescue by finding the missing toy. I highly recommend this museum to anyone looking for interactive and STEM activities to do with the kids. You’ll find something for the kids and adults as well (flight simulators). We will be back next week!!
