Sweetwater Wetlands Park, Gainesville

What a GEM!!! My husband took me here for a beautiful day out in Nature! We saw all kinds of beautiful wildlife. All sorts of birds, rabbits, gators, fish. They have a bathroom at the front when you first come in. Be sure to try and use it if you can because once you get out on the trail it's quite a hike but it's incredibly lovely!!! On these warm days coming up bring plenty of water and wear a hat. I highly recommend visiting this amazing wetland!

Nice park where you can see alligators and many several species of birds including birds of prey. Accessible for a small fee per vehicle. Pay by cc feasible through their app. Toilets at the entrance. Beware, very little shelter from the sun! Bring water and sun protection Three or four walking loops, the smallest one is above the water but that's where we saw less animals.
