The elegant Belvedere Mansion and Gardens is a popular attraction in Galena Illinois. Tour is well guided with a wealth of history predating mansion. Built in 1857, by Ambassador J. Russell Jones, this decadent Italianate mansion affords 22 lavishly decorated rooms. Museum is full of ornate antiques with famous historic presence. The tour was an outstanding and interesting visit in history.
