  This is a small, quiet park, but it ended up being the site of one of the highlights of our trip thanks to a gorgeous bald eagle perched in a tree right next to the pedestrian bridge. We stayed in a.....  more »

  If you go to Main Street in Galena, you must walk up the steps by the river and cross over to Grant Park. It is high on a hill with a bunch of walking paths, a statue of Ulysses S Grant, a beautiful....  more »

  Nicely manicured park with playground equipment and basketball courts in addition to historically placed cannons and other storical markers. Also noticed a wedding ceremony was transpiring while we visited. Looks like a very nice place for that as well.

  Well taken care of. It's a beautiful park. The only problem I have is the kids area is not very big. But I love how they honor the gay community by the rainbow colored steps and the rainbow flags.
