  • Nice and clean grounds. The area has changed a lot since my younger days with the concrete picnic tables but I like it. We like to bring some tarps to extend the shade from the provided pergola. Gives us extra shaded space to lounge around the picnic table while grilling.
  • Friends of the park (volunteer group) run a periodic guided kayak trip that is fantastic. The guide is a Master Naturalist. The trip is approximately 2.5 miles out and back, with pauses to explore and hear more about the plants, sea life and birds of the area. Turnaround is at the observation tower. Highly recommended if you can find an opening.
