  • Having toured both the WW2 ship & submarine, I have even more respect for the men of that era. There's a reason they're called The Greatest Generation! I tried to imagine the men of that time living in those close quarters, sleeping, eating and conducting drills. Much less enduring depth charges. It's well worth the price of admission.
  • It looks good from the outside but My son and father in law said it was in need of some serious TLC, it’s pretty far off the beaten track and you definitely have to commit to going. They said it’s best to think of your admittance as a donation because it is a pricey for what you get. But they were still able to spend over an hour exploring and were chatty with all the things they learned. You definitely need to be a military/naval lover to get the most out of it. The location is nice and if all of your party aren’t visiting the museum it’s fun to wander and see dolphins or sharks and people reeling in their catches.
