  • A Walk in the Woods provides excellent, dependable, friendly shuttle service every year when we need a ride to our chosen trailhead and then picks us up at our return trailhead.

  • This is my second trip to the Smokies and I've gone out with A Walk in the Woods both times I've come. They're easy to work with, the guides are friendly and super knowledgeable about the area and they all genuinely love being out in nature. You can tell they're passionate about what they do. I booked two hikes this trip, the Quiet Waterfall excursion and the Thundering Cascades and Falls trip. Both were great. Quiet waterfall got rained out, so we ended up moving to another location. It was another waterfall and we were able to dodge the heavy rains in the original location. The wildflowers on the way up were plentiful and Debbie was a wealth of knowledge on them all. The next day weather cooperated a bit more. No rain, but a bit chilly. Cade was our guide and was awesome as well. He was able to identify and point out numerous things along the trail, plus he's a backpacking pro, so I got some good pointers from him about that. I plan to book one of their overnight trips in the future. I think it would be a blast!
  • This hike with Scott was the highlight of our trip. He is very knowledgeable and charismatic, not to mention you get to see amazing sights on the trail. The gratitude aspect of it all really helps connect as a family as well. We would recommend this to anyone visiting the Smokies.
