  • Enjoyed the few shops that were up and open by 9am. Disappointed in missing a few because they opened at 10am or 12pm.  more »
  • Drove through the entire route. Some were still closed due to COVID 19, but most were open. Beautiful artisian works where available, but I didn't feel I could be $250 for a wooden bowl. If I...  more »

  • A wide variety of handcrafted items from local artists. Most shops function as the artist's studio. It's an 8 Mile drive with shops along both sides of road. Requires motor transportation to go between shops. There is a map with all the studios/shops listed. We got our map from one of the artists. Almost all shops also carried items made by other local artists. We visited artist studios for: knives, blown glass, oil paintings, photography, rugs, brooms, birdhouses, woodcarving, jewelry, rocks, soap, and candles.
  • Lots of artists and crafters most of the buildings have multiple shops. It's located about 10 minutes outside of the actual town of Gatlinburg. If you love homemade crafts and beautiful art it's well worth the trek.
