  • Each year the Warplane museum hosts an airshow and static display that will delight any World War 2 aviation buff. This year they had the B-17 Flying fortress that was featured in the movie Memphis Bell, two gorgeous P 51 mustangs, a B-25 Mitchell most famous for Jimmy Doolittle's raid on Tokyo, and a Japanese zero like the ones that attacked Pearl harbor. Those were just some of many on hand, that took part in our mighty struggle. The sights and sounds of the flyovers were like a step back in time when America's very survival was at stake. I'd recommend the Warplane museum, and airshow to anybody who appreciates what those great warriors did for us just 75 years ago.
  • I got the chance to fly on the B-17 bomber (the Memphis Belle). It was an absolutely amazing experience! Not only is it a great piece of history (I believe only 11 are Still functional in the world today) but my grandfather was a gunner on one of these planes in WWII so I got to see a part of his past too. The staff at the museum were great and very accommodating. I look forward to bringing my family to check out more of the planes and to maybe fly in the C-47! It really is a once in a lifetime experience.
