This is definitely my favorite brewery. I love that they always have at least one sour on tap and they are always experimenting with new styles. Their taproom is really chill and they’ve got a nice outdoor space. We’ve been coming here for a few years, but now they have a Lemon Seltz-Up that is so good! It might be one of the best they’ve ever done. We couldn’t leave without picking up a pack to go.

The first brewery to open in Geneva, Penrose is a must stop if you're in the Fox Valley and you like really good beer. Pilsners, lagers, Porters, IPA (east coast, west coast), bourbon barrel aged and more, but this place is famous for their sours. They were doing sours before anyone else around here. Great beer, friendly and knowledgeable servers, owners are present and amazing. If you're into beer you need to go to Penrose.
