Flew in from Philly for the Labor Day Dave Matthews Band shows and can't wait to come back again. Arrived at the venue around 4:00 and had zero line for parking, was able to exit the lot very easily..... more »
The gorge is a beautiful venue! I've been there for two different festivals and had an amazing experience! You can never beat the view from atop the hill looking into the beautiful canyon. The sound systems are great so it sound like you at the front of the stage. Aside from the beautiful views and amazing sounds, everything is very steeply priced! I know its expected when going to even for things to be a little pricey but everything is a little outrageous. In the venue a lemonade was 15 dollars for a 16oz, there were cheese burgers for 17 dollars and 12 dollars lettuce wraps. But I guess that just capitalism at its finest. Also the security at the venue is not consistent whatsoever. They have all of the poster saying what you can and cant bring in all over the place but you get up to security and they tell you you can't have thing that your allowed to have. They were also pretty rude. Overall aside from everything being so expensive, and inconsistentcy in the security, I had an amazing experience while I was there!
The Gorge was an unbelievable experience and a destination anyone in the Pacific northwest needs to visit. The camping is well thought out and the venue is gorgeous with excellent views. Staff are easily accessible, security is adequate. The venue was tidy on their lawn seating area with good views no matter where you are. Food and beverage options are available at relatively higher prices, but to be expected. Great bands come through and seemingly love the venue just as much. The view behind the stage is breathtaking. Acoustics are amazing, with one minor flaw of an echo that messes with your ears a bit. Camping space was good, clean and tidy. Only downside was the hot water in the showers were spotty, with a few of their stalls without it.
