  • We did the self guided tour as it was closed to to covid. I would love tsee the inside one day. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. There are signs letting you know what is what, so that helped...  more »

  • Get the guided ranger tour! It is completely worth it! We went with small kids and even they behaved fairly well listening to the ranger and looking around to see how the house was built. A great stop close by to the highway.
  • The young park ranger who conducted our tour was amazingly knowledgeable. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in southern history. Unlike some historical homes, this one has no furniture. However, it is rich with examples of how homes were constructed in the 1700’s. In addition the ranger discusses life before and after emancipation. Treat yourself to a day in Plantation life.
