You can learn how the battle progressed, hear the stories about generals George Meade and Robert E. Lee, and see clearly how the terrain influenced the troop movements and the outcome. It's cool for what it is. If you're not expecting modern technology then you will enjoy it. It is huge and is so impressive because it was built by hand. And it's only $8 to get in.
A great place to begin your tour of Gettysburg. The diorama "show" gives you a good overview of the timeline of the battles. Some neat historical artifacts on display as well.
